About a year ago, I tried to introduce self massage into one of my stretch classes and it did not go over well because it is a bit uncomfortable. The idea is to use a tennis ball for myofascial release. Sometimes our physical pain can be caused from tightness in the casing that surrounds our muscles.

Most of you have a tennis ball lying around the house and I encourage you to try using to massage your muscles. This works for well for me on my upper back. The trick is you have to be able to relax over the ball so that you can start to feel some relief.

I encourage you to look on Youtube for ‘self massage’ techniques or ‘tennis ball release.’ ┬áIt really works and it is cheaper than physiotherapy and massages.
