Many of you know that I am putting together a fitness book for my students, family and friends. This has been a long process but the project is progressing nicely. I have had two professional photo shoots and and the book is finally starting  to come together. By the way, some of you asked that my husband be in the book as well and here is proof that I am making that request come true.

If I have taught you in the past or if you are currently my student and would like to say some words about our experiences together, I welcome your testimonials. I have several already but I hope to get a few more from some of the students who have impacted my life over the last 20 years. Maybe you want to share with others how my classes have contributed to your health.

My motivation on writing this book is three fold. I have students who have moved away and cannot find a similar fitness class experience in their new town. Some students have asked for a book of programs that they can do at home on the days when they cannot make it to class and I want to get my favorite exercises down on paper before I retire. I hope to keep teaching for another 15 years but one never knows in this business.

Last week, one of my students came up to me and asked me if I have ever considered teaching other teachers how to replicate my popular chair class. The answer is no but there is no real secret. All teachers should be empathetic, caring and attentive to the needs of the students. I am just lucky to have found a place where the care and concern that I show to my clients is appreciated, because not every gym is filled with grateful and respectful attendees. I can remember offering to correct a gentleman in a gym on one occasion, who was putting himself at risk because of poor posture, and he very rudely told me to mind my own business! I have wonderful students now so my job is easy.

I love my work and I love my students. I will let you know when the book is available and if you would like to have your words published, just Contact me from the home page, leave a comment or send me an email.

I hope to hear from you soon,

Beth
